After many years of creating handmade gifts and accessories, I wanted to take my creative skills a step further. The decision to major in Apparel Design came naturally.  I graduated from St. Petersburg College with an Associate Arts degree and continued my design education at Florida State University where my passion and skill for sewing truly matured.  Two years later, I completed a life long dream and left Tallahassee with a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Manufacturing and Design. Since that time my love for country design has blossomed. 

I have made and considered many different career choices.  However, the urge to develop and establish my own business was overwhelming.  I felt that designing only one product would leave me unfulfilled.  So, with that in mind, I created Johnnie’s Junk in 2006.  Johnnie’s Junk is a company that is dedicated to providing customers with an eclectic mix of products designed from new and recycled materials that are both stylish and affordable. 

My inspiration comes from many things.  I love the elegance and simplicity of country design.  To achieve this look, I often utilize recycled fabric and hardware material.  Also, my own home and two children are a huge inspiration.  Because of this, many of the products that I design have children and basic home necessities in mind.  Any product can be customized to specifically meet your needs!  Enjoy the products and please contact me with any questions you might have.
